I'm noticing that a lot of articles are getting a single down vote, and at least at first glance, the only issue I'm usually seeing is that the content itself is pretty beginner/basic oriented. Although some could be generated.

Would anyone care to share their insights? Also, greatly appreciate any comments on the posts that people are downvoting. It helps to have some insight when making moderation decisions these days. Also, feel free to share anything relevant. Any new projects, libraries etc you've found or are working with.

I generally downvote clear AI slop because, well, slop.

But recently I've seen a bunch of downvotes emerged from nowhere in a matter of minutes on some genuine, appreciable content. See posts from Alex MacArthur, Evan Hahn and Matt Smith.

I suspect the action of a single disgruntled user.

I also downvote clear AI slop, it's pretty easy to spot though, mostly jsdev links, and code snippets with no explanation. But since it's not just me doing it, doesn't explain the single downvotes.

Seeing all the AI slop around, it's almost cute to read some crypto-bro spam.
