We would like this to stay a source for relevant, high quality content. I've been pretty active at blocking every spammy domain submission, or URL relay and have even started blocking github/gitlab user routes as well as medium and other blog users.

Unfortunately, the YouTube channel is not part of the url used and as a result, it's pretty much all or nothing. While about 1/3 or so YouTube videos are nice, about 1/3 are spammy and the other 1/3 are lower quality material.

So, I'm asking to get a bit of a consensus on this. Do you appreciate the links from YouTube content here, and how much so. I can continue doing this manually, just realize that this is potentially a path to more poor content in the future.

I don't want to miss the 1/3 of nice YouTube videos. So please keep them.

What about showing an icon right/left of the title, that specifies that it contains or is a video source?

I'm not a fan of YouTube links for programming content. I vote to eliminate them in EchoJS. Also, eliminate the links to blogs hosted by Medium. The content is good but the paywall is annoying.

Thanks for your vigilance. EchoJS is a great resource.

Seems like the general sentiment is to keep them. I often don't feel like sitting through the videos, so will probably just remove only if there's multiple downvotes or "this is spam" type comments on them.

Thanks for the feedback.

Keep them, we'll filter out any spam. It's worth it for the conference talks that are actually cool.

Please do keep them! I value video content more than written content. As do most people!
Those who are not interested can simply skip them.

Pretty low in general, maybe 1:15 or 1:20 or so... just noticing more lower quality entries, and figured I'd reach out and ask... seems to be mostly in favor of keeping them, which is okay by me... I only tend to delete things maybe once every day or so, and often not on the weekends, so they may manage to stay up for a while.

Of course, as soon as I say that, there's 2 today, 1 of which is off-topic... lol.
