Hello Echo JS,

As you might have noticed, the site was closed for two days. I clearly
didn't expect all the reactions and support on Twitter and by mail so
thank you everyone: you are amazing! <3

Long story short, I've had less and less time to run the site and as
the site has gotten more popular, the amount of spam has increased to
a point I simply cannot manage things on my own anymore.

Thankfully, some people whom I trust offered to step up and help with
content moderation, and to enhance the software in a second step, more
on that later. From now on, Fabien Allanic (fallanic), Steffen Bruchmann
(sbruchmann) and Michael J. Ryan (tracker1) are site administrators and
have full moderation rights. Huge thanks to them!

Thanks again to everyone being part of this community during all those
years, and to many more to come: together, we make the site.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy to help. This site has become a part of my daily routine for a few years now. Thanks for all your hard work on this. I totally understood why you had taken it down, and even more happy you've decided to bring it back up.

I’m so glad the site is back and that kind people in the community have offered support. I’ve never created an account until now. I just wanted to voice my thanks and my willingness to help if the site becomes burdensome again. Thank you all!

I logged in today to make sure that shutdown wasn't just a bad dream. Sitting here rubbing my eyes in disbelief. It's a V-Day miracle! Big ups to the community for showing love and to fcambus for making such an addictive portal into the world of javascript - Long Live EchoJS!

I'm so glad that when I pressed Ctrl+T, typed
"echojs" and hit enter purely out of habit today, I wasn't greeted with a sad post mortem message again :)

Thank you Frederic for giving Echo JS a second chance!
And excellent choices for the new moderators. Congrats Fabien, Steffen and Michael: you've been a great help for the community, so your new roles are well deserved. 👍

For a while there, I thought threads had an approval ceiling of +100. 101! Way to go!

Love this site! When I searched for javascript news a couple of years ago, this was the site that consistently surfaced the highest quality content. I still think that's true even though spam made it harder to maintain. Thanks to you and to all of the new maintainers!

EchoJS has also always been my favorite news feed, as an independent platform. :) So glad you are back

I'm so glad that EchoJS is back up :-)

I kept it in my daily news rotation just in case, and I'm so glad I did.

Thanks so much for all your time spent on this Frederic!
