Yes.  Those two "offences" are exactly why Douglas Crockford, an undeniable authority in the domain of JavaScript, was excluded from a conference whose value was substantially lessened by the man's absence.

But we are going to be sprayed with venom, irony, and "clever" jabs until we accept that we are horrible people for wanting the most talented instead of the squeakiest wheel.  So save yourself the trouble.

Medium posters of the world can rejoice!  The day has finally arrived where even the most astronomical talent or specialization is overshadowed by sanctimonious virtue signaling!  

Do you want Harrison Bergeron's Handicapper General knocking on your door?  This is where extreme left ideology becomes toxic to the point of legitimate danger and requires moderation.  Reducing an entire point of view to thought-terminating cliche like "a bunch of pasty whites complaining about the loss of inherent privilege" is disingenuous and fails to confront the uncomfortable reality that our recent soft-spokenness and love of the "safe space" is perpetuating.  

There is a scale upon which we must be reasonable and weigh the respective values of "freedom from" and "freedom to" as we defend ourselves from violent, alien ideologies which are fundamentally incompatible with the precise "freedom equation" that we are carefully working to balance through glacial political process.  It is not particularly partisan, though any response of course is.
