Agreed, this is getting really annoying.

I deleted the account a couple of times already, they always recreate a new one... I also banned their company URL but they post summaries linking to their company URL on various free blogging platforms, and post this link instead.

Talk about lack of ethics...

What about implementing OAuth in Lamernews? Unfortunately, I don’t know Ruby, therefore I am not able to send a pull request.

Not sure it would prevent these kind of issues, wouldn't it be possible to create a new spam account using a different e-mail address? Unfortunately, if someone is determined to spam, I think it's hard to prevent.

Maybe the best way would be to give admin access to a couple of trusted and regular users, so they can delete / rename stories if required?

In my personal experience, OAuth decreased about 40% to 60% percent of spam in my projects.

But I think you are right. More admins/moderators should be enough at this time; the community is still growing. I’d like to nominate @bevacqua and @pid.

Forgot to answer this one, thanks for the suggestion I will definitely keep the suggestions in mind. And you should probably be on the nominates list too :-)
