Because it so much harder. You need to handle OAuth keys by yourself, and basically, you can't do that on the front with such ease as you can do it with Sheetsu.com.

Well… I had no trouble setting up a Google Spreadsheet as a backend for a client site application.

There’s no way I’d ever pay $39 per **month** for accessing something I could get for _free_.
