Why are those links not simply removed? This is really annoying. Polluting the news with unreadable content. I bet he does not even get what you are telling him. Sadly most french people can't speak english.

It is a common misconception that the french are not capable of speaking english. Most of them just do not want to talk/write in english.

Well this is really off-topic so I won't reply further, but just google for "french bad english" and you get plenty of reasons why. And personal experience is really no adequate source.
