Yes, it is JavaScript related.
The carousels themselves are implemented, or should be implemented in JavaScript. And the implications of such implementations should at least arouse the curiosity of the average developer. While the quotes in the shouldi are generic and don't fit all use cases, a good developer should know the difference between right and wrong.
And there's no reason to shun topics that you don't think are tied into a specific context.
I'd prefer the Github approach where you require the user to type in the name of the repo they want to delete. A two-state button isn't that secure if the artifact is in fact something the user would not delete on a regular basis.
"Most of the posts fall don't really lend themselves to big discussions."
I agree. The content of the site is good and focused on JS, not whatever social/economical/political outrage is currently fueling HN, which anyone can opine upon regardless of their level of experience or talent.
I really like it. Simple, clean, easy to use. And fairly inexpensive for a single license. Would like to see how it would integrate with a CMS/Blog as I'm sure everyone else would too.
IMO it's a poor substitute for Bootstrap. Outside of an alternate visual design language, it does nothing to either improve upon Bootstrap or offer a scalable solution to grow the library, something that Bootstrap already does.
