I'm also all for having a monthly official who's hiring thread. Maybe we could have one around 15th of the month as to avoid cross posts from other similar events around the web.
To be fair, the last section of the article describes exactly how they are using the web workers. It is a pretty neat idea to do the regex for auto completion that way.
I was actually just trying to make my dad's job easier, he does roofing and sometimes needs a quick and dirty roof map to show his guys where to look for leaks and such. Building have the detailed maps of the area.
Also I was thinking that one day I can make it into something like http://www.roofcad.com/ with the added benefit of a database service for keeping track of previous leaks and repairs but honestly I haven't made any market research to see how viable the idea might be.
